The all-ages community concert band, directed by Dr. Keith A. Wharton, will take listeners on a musical journey to various parts of the world. Places to be visited include Tunisia (A Night in Tunisia), Spain (Suite from Man of La Mancha; La Paloma), Arabia (Themes from Lawrence of Arabia), Hungary (Friska, from Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2), and more. A special feature will be Duke Ellington's "A Petal of a Rose," part of his Queen's Suite written for Queen Elizabeth II, played on the bass trombone (with piano accompaniment).
New members are welcome. The season's 4th concert is on May 21.
TOWN TRASH & RECYCLING SERVICES The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday.
