Broad Reach Sculpture Dedication

October 14, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Come celebrate the first installation in Chestertown's Public Arts Master Plan, a bold interactive sculpture by David Hess titled "Broad Reach." The two-piece steel sculpture, consisting of a 20-foot-tall sail and a curling wave, will rise from grassy knolls at the entrance to Wilmer Park.
"Broad Reach" will be dedicated in honor of designer, artist, arts advocate and teacher Alex Castro and the contributions he made to Chestertown's artistic and cultural life during the seven years he and his wife, Kelly, lived and worked here. A reception will follow the dedication at the site.
