Build Your Self-Care Toolkit, Facilitated by Wendy Eckel, LCSW

September 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In the 2017 One Maryland One Book selection Purple Hibiscus, characters find hope and new perspectives when they spend time outside of an oppressive and abusive home environment.Wendy Eckel, LCSW, joins us for a conversation about developing tools to build resilience and empower yourself to weather life's difficult situations. While inspired by the challenges and changes experienced by the main character in Purple Hibiscus, you are welcome and will find plenty to take away from this program even if you haven't read the book!
One Maryland One Book is a program of Maryland Humanities.
