The Kent County Fair is a traditional county fair featuring agriculture education, 4-H exhibits, great food and so much more. New exhibits, games, attractions and vendors are added each year. There is something to do for everyone. Highlights include great music each evening, the greased pig contest, the 4-H auctions, corn hole tournament, youth turkey calling contest and animal exhibits.The fairgrounds is a former US Army Nike facility with barracks, guard shack and the base office, which also serves as the Fair office, still in place. TOWN TRASH & RECYCLING SERVICES The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday.
