Professor Hutchinson will speak about Eadweard Muybridge’s 1868 photographs of Alaska and discuss what they tell us about how Americans made sense of the alien environment of this newly-acquired territory.This program is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Department of Art + Art History and the Center for Environment and Society with the Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience. A reception will follow, sponsored by Phi Beta Kappa.
TOWN TRASH & RECYCLING SERVICES The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday.
