Hi to all,
Hard to believe that I am thinking of gardening already since we are in the throws of this deeply cold winter! My husband, John and I have decided to try to get the community garden started here on Round Top Road, about a mile south of Chestertown and I am just trying to spread the word. We have a lovely 15 acre plot and do many things on it regarding organic gardening, bee keeping, and establishing natural meadows.

My husband tilled and planted a cover crop of clover in the fall on a nice sunny spot. We intend to till it in the spring, then hopefully have people start their garden projects. We don’t have exact plot sizes yet and it might vary depending on what people want.

January 24th we will have a planning meeting for anyone interested here at 218 Round Top Road, 7pm. I have many ideas but it is great to get input from others.
February 21st at 7pm here on Round Top, we will have a seed swap.

I am also using meetup.com to get the word out, click on “Chestertown Organic Gardeners and Farmers” to go to our meetup page.

Stay warm, Pam Vogel
