An event every week that begins at 8:00am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, repeating indefinitely

The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday. Yard Waste and Bulk Trash  You must call 410-778-0500 to arrange a pickup, which is free of charge. Bulk trash is picked up Mon. & Fri. – call 410-778-0500 and a nominal fee will be charged depending on the types of items. If you have problems or questions concerning regular garbage pickup, please call 410-778-0500.

Wine Seminar Series – Session III: Grapes to Glass

Great wines begin in the vineyard and end in the winery. It is a marriage between field, flavor, and long-standing traditions. Participants will spend time in the vineyard with a guided presentation of the techniques for premium grape growing on the Eastern Shore. Then they will be off to the winery to explore winemaking techniques and how they are used to express terroir. The presentation will end with a guided tasting.

Community Dance Day

Presented by the Delta Eta Pi Nation Dance Honors Society at Washington College. Open to children grades K-8. No prior dance experience necessary. Warm up, ballet, jazz/musical theater, and pom dance taught by the members of Delta Eta Pi.

Hogwarts Professors Visit Flourish & Blotts

Prospective Hogwarts students are invited to meet some of their professors Sun, Mar 26, from 2:30-4:00 PM at Flourish & Blotts (Bookplate, 112 S. Cross St, Chestertown). Get a taste of classes like Divination, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration, and listen to excerpts from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Test your Harry Potter knowledge with trivia and help earn points for your House. Hogwarts alumni are also encouraged to attend. Light wizard snacks will be available and magical attire is encouraged. This event is sponsored by the Chestertown Harry Potter Festival. Admission is free.
