An event every week that begins at 12:00am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, repeating indefinitely

The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday. Yard Waste and Bulk Trash You must call 410-778-0500 to arrange a pickup, which is free of charge. Bulk trash is picked up Mon. & Fri. – call 410-778-0500 and a nominal fee will be charged depending on the types of items. If you have problems or questions concerning regular garbage pickup, please call 410-778-0500.

Literary House & Sophie Kerr Series: Living Writers—A Reading by Rion Amilcar Scott

Rion Amilcar Scott’s short story collection, Insurrections (University Press of Kentucky, 2016) was awarded the 2017 PEN/Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction and the 2017 Hillsdale Award from the Fellowship of Southern Writers. His work has been published in journals such as The Kenyon Review, Crab Orchard Review, and The Rumpus, among others. The World Doesn't Require You, his sophomore story collection, is forthcoming from Liveright.

A treatise on the science and the art of fire by Chris Mocella ’01, in the scholarly lineage of Dr. Joseph H. McLain ’37 and Dr. John A. Conkling ’65 and to commemorate the publishing of the 3rd Edition of the Chemistry of Pyrotechnics by Conkling and Mocella, CRC Press/Taylor&Francis Group. Open to the public. Light refreshments will be served in the Toll Science Center Atrium at 4:00 p.m.
