We are glad to invite you to participate in a historic event this spring. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbian and Gays (PFLAG) of Mid-Shore Maryland is hosting the first ever LGBTQ Pride celebration on the Eastern Shore. We are planning a variety of activities during the weekend of Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5, 2019 in several locations. They include evening First Friday celebrations in Easton and Chestertown; informational and fun gatherings at Idlewild Park in Easton on Saturday morning; a festival in Chestertown’s Fountain Park on Saturday afternoon; and -- not one, but two! -- fun and fabulous musical drag shows: the first at Washington College on Saturday evening and another at The 447 in Cambridge for Sunday brunch. This “First Annual Mid-Shore Pride” event is expected to attract individuals and families from across the Eastern Shore of Maryland as well as Delaware, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Friday, May 3 Come down to Downtown Chestertown's First Friday and celebrate Pride. There will be music in Fountain Park and many of our Downtown Chestertown Association businesses will be showing their support for Pride and the LGBTQ+ community! TOWN TRASH & RECYCLING SERVICES The Town will be divided into two collection areas, both of which will be serviced twice each week. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday.
