Craig Steven Wilder’s most recent book is Ebony & Ivy: Race, Slavery, and the Troubled History of America’s Universities, which Kirkus Reviews named one of the best nonfiction books of the year. He is also the author of A Covenant with Color: Race and Social Power in Brooklyn; and In the Company of Black Men: The African Influence on African American Culture in New York City. Professor Wilder began his career as a community organizer in the South Bronx. He is a senior fellow at the Bard Prison Initiative, and is currently MIT’s Barton L. Collection of garbage and trash will be conducted in one area on Monday and Thursday evenings, and the other on Sunday and Wednesday evenings; except no collection will be made on New Years’ Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, but will be made on the next regular collection day after the holiday.
