BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS

FOR CHESTERTOWN

OCTOBER 6, 2017

The Board of Supervisors of Elections for Chestertown held a meeting in the Town Office at 5:00 p.m. In attendance at the meeting were Board members Loretta Lodge and Cheryl Hoopes, along with Jennifer Mulligan, Town Clerk.  The purpose of the meeting was to certify two (2) Petitions for Candidacy received since the last Board of Supervisors of Elections meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

The Petitions for Candidacy were as follows:

  • Mayor:
      • Chris Cerino – 24 signatures
  • First Ward:
      • John David Foster – 32 signatures

Mayor Chris Cerino filed his paperwork for reelection on October 4, 2017. His petition contained 24 signatures, all of which were signed by active voters in the Town of Chestertown.

Mr. John David Foster filed a Petition for Candidacy for First Ward on September 21, 2017. Mr. Foster resides in the First Ward at 17 Byford Court.  His petition contained 34 signatures, two (2) of which were not accepted; one signor was not registered to vote and one signor did not sign her name to the petition.

After the Board verified the signatures and information on each candidate, it was unanimously agreed that the Petitions for Candidacy were complete. All Financial Disclosure Forms and Statement of Organization for Campaign Finance Entities are on file.

The ballots will read as follows:

First Ward:

  • Owen Bailey
  • David Foster
  • Bob Miller

Third Ward:

  • Ellsworth Tolliver
