  1. Call to Order
  2. Roll Call of Members for Quorum and Visitors for Attendance Records
  3. Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting
  4. Old Business
    1. Open to Discussion about anything from past meetings
      1. Review Strategic Planning language from the Town                                                                       *       The town has expressed interest in implementing a MESH network as
part of its long-term technology strategy. Town Council will provide the
relevant language from the plan, which we will review during our meeting on
        the 13th.
      2. Review Mary Alice’s email                                                                                                                  *       Suggestion: a small group from our committee should visit
Westminster in the next couple of weeks and meet with their IT Team to
gather essential data, including implementation project plans, schedules,
cost sheets, vendor information, fundraising strategies, long-term equipment
support and maintenance expenses/budgets, staff hiring and time allocations
(during the project and as support long-term), and potential challenges.
      3. Review and investigate the cell phone tower situation to ensure connectivity for
our community and visitors. This includes understanding the tower’s
capacity, potential improvements, timelines for enhancements, cooperation
from major carriers, required technologies, and associated costs.
  5. New Business
    1. Continue from the last meeting
      1. Review the status of our research and discussions.
      2. Fast-track the Group’s recommendation for using ARPA funds.                                                  *       Our primary focus for the summer is to gather this information
comprehensively and formulate a recommendation, complete with a budget
proposal for the $250,000 ARPA grant, to present to the Town Council in
September.                                                                                                                                          *      Document Tasks, Timelines, and Owners
      3. Discuss the estimated cost of the Demonstration Project
        *       Our focus cannot only be on implementing the recommendation. We must
also consider the long-term equipment costs, staff maintenance, and support.
In some ways, this is the more important part of the research, as we cannot
create a burden on the Town that they cannot do.
  6. Requests from the Public to be recognized
