Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Council members Liz Gross, Linda Kuiper, Samuel T. Shoge and Mauritz Stetson, Robert Sipes, Utilities Manager, Jennifer Mulligan, Town Clerk, and guests.

Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of November 17, 2014 or the Generator Bid Opening of December 12, 2014. Mr. Stetson moved to approve the minutes as presented, was seconded by Mr. Shoge and carried unanimously.

Mayor Cerino stated that cash on hand and in banks was $1,087,683.53 and there was $215,400.00 set aside in capital funds.

Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Mr. Stetson moved to pay the bills as submitted, was seconded by Ms. Gross and carried unanimously.

Mr. Sipes stated that a pump at Washington Park was replaced rather than being repaired. He said that the pump was older and he was concerned that the motor would stop working which would have doubled the price of replacing the new pump.

Mr. Sipes stated that a PLC at the Waste Water Treatment Plant failed, but it was reprogrammed and was now in working order.

Mr. Sipes stated that new lines were installed for the parsonage on Kent Street and it was the reason that the street was closed last Thursday.

Mr. Sipes stated that the Marina was winterized, but they did arrive one day too late because a pipe had burst. The pipe was repaired.

Mr. Sipes stated that there were two leaks by Kent Street and on High Street. He said that they would be repaired on Wednesday.

Mr. Sipes stated that there was a bid opening for new generators held on December 12th. He said that the low bid was for $62,510.00 from Fidelity Powere. He said that he would like to award Fidelity Power the bid as long as they meet all of the bid specifications. He said that he was going to install the generators and that Baldwin Electric would perform the electrical work involved. He said that he would then bid out and sell the older generators.

Ms. Gross moved to award the generator bid to Fidelity Power for $62,510.00 with the provision that all of the bid specifications be met, was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.

There being no further business, Mr. Shoge moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m., was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.
