Topic: Rain Garden/Storm Water Run-Off efforts at Casey Academic Center
- flooding an issue, redirect and slow flow of rain water;
- small scale project funded by WC approximately $2,000.00
- 100 linear fee of step conveyance technology
- 10 ton of large diameter ton 4-6 inches deep
- applied over synthetic permeable membrane;
- existing 3 inch drain incorporated into design
- 3 kinds of native switch grasses and other shrubs/trees included
- unknown amount of sediment removal accomplished;
- WC grounds staff will maintain system
- plans are to expand current project scope
- 3 other site are being considered, larger scale with grant funding;
- WC desire to interface future projects with Town SWR-O efforts
