Administration:
Harold gave the committee a brief bio. He is a Kent County native, Rising Sons mentor (a recent activity was assisting with Sumner Hall garden beautification), probation officer. His passion is working with the community.

Energy & Transport:
Jon reported on Eastern Shore EVSE Initiative
1. Delmarva EVsmart Program
- Betterton installation; two Level 2 stations
- Chestertown application submitted for review on 9NOV; Foot of High Street two Level 2 stations
2. Local Town government action
- Easton municipal lot; four Level 2 stations
- Rehoboth DE municipal lot; two Level 2 chargers
- Lewes DE: two municipal lots; one Level 2 chargers
3. EVI of MD administering state grant program
- increase EVSE specifically on the Eastern Shore
- only DCFC 440 volt stations with free charging
- grant requests due by end of December
- “letter of support” due Friday
- Chestertown sites; Foot of High Street, Ajax Park, Kent Plaza, Washington Square. All level 3 fast charge
- all installation costs covered by grant, EVI of MD will own/operate for 5 years
4. EV ownership

5. Chestertown zoning regulations
- we should develop language for a town ordinance to adopt for all new commercial construction permits

Kent Basic Needs- Local Management Board committee formed to address housing & transportation. CEC invited to participate.
Waste Management
WAC dining hall, opening in mid-January, will be operating at 50% capacity. All food waste will be composted with SEEC/Wayne Gilchrest

4 sites done/ in progress: Good Seeds garden at Sumner Hall, Kent Attainable houses by Garnet Elementary, Cerino Center at the Marina
Chestertown Stormwater Plan: Tim wrapping up draft
Open Streets; ESLC & Owen Bailey presentation. Potential to expand pedestrian access. Test feasibility with temporary zones. CEC suggestions. Gateway Park/Rte. 20 crossing, Break in sidewalk, rt 213 @Pardoes, YMCA access from Foxley Manor

D Foster reported good meeting with Town, Hospital & MDE. Hospital hired new consultants.

Successes:
• Cemented relationship with Mayor & Council. I.e., CEC input and advice on pertinent issues. I.e., Congressional Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, Wilmer Park flooding playground/naturescape
• re-opening of farmers’ market
