SUSPENDED Introduction to the Pottery Wheel with Marcey Sherman (8 weeks)

March 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

RiverArts will suspend in-person group programs and activities in all our locations for 30 days beginning March 13. This includes group classes, KidSPOT sessions, Clay Studio open hours, Life Drawing, Photography Club, and Plein Air groups, RiverArts Film Society screenings, and public events.

We believe people need the Arts more than ever during times of stress and crisis, and we remain committed to growing community, creativity, and connection through the Arts. We will provide alternatives to our usual in-person activities and invite you to contact us via phone, email, or social media with suggestions and questions, or just to say hello.

We’ll get through this and learn to practice “social distancing” without “social isolation.”

Due to the coronavirus, this event will now begin on March 30th and end May 4th.
*Only on Mondays*

Ever seen “Ghost” and wondered if making pottery is really like that? Actually, the techniques used in the movie are close to how pots are made, minus the steamy caresses! This 8-week beginners class will teach you the basic steps used with the potter’s wheel and allow you to explore creativity with clay.

Each student will receive 25# of clay (std 112) and 8 open studio tickets (a $102 value) to come and practice their skills. A beginner’s tool kit is needed. You can purchase online or we will sell kits at the first night for $30.
