Kohl Gallery and the Rose O’Neill Literary House present the solo exhibition “SmooOOoOoooooOooth Operator: the eternal outlays ennoble and rekindle an unlikely savior,” featuring the work of artist and writer Kameelah Janan Rasheed. Rasheed presents photographs, videos, drawings, and prints on various substrates. Together, these works create an evolving ecosystem of Rasheed’s ongoing research into machine learning, its relationship to translation, Islamic mysticism, divination practices, and call-and-response traditions.
