This 1-day ceramic techniques workshop will introduce students to hand-carved decorative embellishments. Previous clay experience is required. Students will be provided leather hard ceramic tiles for instruction and are encouraged to bring one or two simple forms to practice with at the end of the session. Leather-hard to hard-leather is preferred, and please use smooth clay. Students are also encouraged to bring some soft pencils, a flexible ruler, and some simple sample geometric designs and sketches for inspiration.
