Plan your trip early and stay in Chestertown! Click here for local lodging.
The class will be held at the Clay Studio (and in the street nearby) from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday September 17th.
Students will learn the process of raku firing by glazing self-supplied bisque ware, learning how to load and unload a raku kiln, and experiencing smoked reduction. Students may participate in the process throughout, if they feel comfortable! Come observe, learn, and participate as Brett will fire his kilns many times in a single day.
All students are expected to bring pre-fired bisqueware to this class. Using a raku clay body is HIGHLY recommended.
