Learn the basics of Indigo dyeing and Shibori, an ancient Japanese resist technique on cloth. In the morning students will help make an organic indigo vat using local honey and a synthetic indigo vat. While the vats are reducing, they will explore bound, clamped and sewn Shibori methods on cotton and silk. In the afternoon students will dye their textiles.
