Virtual Photo Club (Free!)

January 26, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Fourth of the month, repeating indefinitely

Undaunted by social isolation, RiverArts Photography Club facilitator Steve Kane hosted the first meeting of a new online version of the club on Thursday, March 26, using the Zoom platform. The club normally meets the fourth Thursday of each month at the ArtsAlive Education Center from 7 to 9 pm, and provides a forum for discussion and critique.
After a successful first virtual meeting, the group plans to change to weekly Thursday meetings via Zoom. This week, April 2 and for the foreseeable future, they will be sharing photos depicting “Life in the Time of Virus.” Please email Steve Kane (srkane@gmail.com) for more details about how to participate. As always, participation in the club is free and all are welcome, from advanced photographers to beginners coming for the first time.
We highly encourage Photo Club participants to support RiverArts by donating or becoming a member. The benefits are many, for a minimal annual fee.

Photographers meet on the 4th Thursday of every month to show off our latest images for comments, praise, and suggestions!
If you are fairly new to photography we know it might be scary to have others evaluate your work. But we find it is a great way to quickly improve your craft, become more creative, and find new friends with similar interests. We warmly welcome professional photographers as well, as we can all learn from each other.

If you are interested in participating, please submit up to two digital photos (jpeg) to Steve Kane at srkane@gmail.com by the Tuesday before the meeting.
