Offered in conjunction with the Kohl Gallery Exhibition, COLOR SURFACE SPACE & The Abstract Imagination, Washington College Art History Professor, Benjamin Tilghman offers a talk entitled "Abstractions Pre-Histories: Color, Pattern, and Line in Medieval and Islamic Art" sharing his research on this topic and further expanding formal and historical considerations of modern and contemporary abstraction.
