2016|

Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm. In attendance: Mike O’Connor, Barbara Jorgenson, Bernadette Bowman, Shannon Wyble, Sam Shoge, and Kay Macintosh.

Kay Macintosh went over preliminary logo designs for the Chestertown A&E District. Several samples created by Benchworks were shown in addition to the sample that has been chosen and is currently being revised based on recommendations from a marketing advisory committee for the launch of the District.

Discussed possibility of a separate website for the Chestertown Arts and Entertainment District. General consensus revolved around featuring the A&E District on the already existing TownofChestertown.com website. Web analytic tools would be used to drive the optimization of the A&E page. Placing the A&E District site on the town?s current webpage would be the most considerate thing for visitors so they have one central page to find all the information they need.

Kay discussed plans for creating window graphics to place in empty storefronts of local business owners and residents with their picture and quotes about doing business in Chestertown. This would serve as a call to action to support the “shop local” movement and, hopefully, inspire current residents and visitors to open a storefront.

Meeting adjourned.
