JANUARY 17, 2024


John Hutchison (Chair) called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.  In attendance were Commission members Owen Bailey, Jim Gatto, Jay Silcox, Heidi Usilton, Elizabeth Watson, Kees de Mooy (Zoning Administrator), and Lynda Thomas (Town Clerk). 

The meeting began with the review of the Comprehensive Plan.


Mr. Hutchison asked if there were any corrections or revisions to the minutes of the meeting of December 20, 2023. Mr. Silcox moved to approve the minutes of December 20, 2023, as submitted, seconded by Mr. Bailey.  The motion carried unanimously.


Clement Gaskill presented the Lot Line Adjustment for 620 Cannon Street.

Mr. Gaskill reviewed the current lot dimensions and the proposed lot line adjustments. He proposed to subdivide into two (2) lots.  The smaller lot would be just over 3000 sqft, to allow for a single-family house.  The slightly larger lot, to allow for a roughly 7320 sqft, with a single-family house, connected to two (2) small, 12’x20’ studio apartments.

Mr. Silcox made a motion to accept the Lot Line Adjustment for 620 Cannon Street, as presented. The motion was seconded by Ms. Watson and passed unanimously.


Mr. Bailey made a motion to approve the Planning Commission Annual Report. The motion was seconded by Mr. Silcox and passed unanimously.

There being no further business or questions from the audience, Mr. Silcox moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 pm, seconded by Mr. Gatto and carried unanimously.
