ELECTION RESULTS 2021 REDISTRICTING MAP AND ORDINANCE

“The League of Women Voters of Kent County (LWVKCMD) sponsored a virtual forum for candidates for Chestertown Town Council Wards 1 and 3. The forum was held October 26th, 2021 at 7:00 pm via Zoom Webinar. Robert Miller and Tim O’Brien in Ward 1 and Jose Medrano and Edward Gallo in Ward 3 answered questions prepared by the League, in addition to questions from the audience.  The Kent County Public Library provided the platform for the Zoom Webinar. We apologize as we had a video recording issue during the Zoom, so only the forum moderator is pictured.”

 

The election is Nov. 2. The only polling place is the Chestertown firehouse. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

CHESTERTOWN NOTICE OF 2021 ELECTION
All residents residing within the Town limits of Chestertown who will vote in the Town election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 must be registered with the Kent County Board of Election Supervisors on or before Friday, October 1, 2021.  All Town of Chestertown residents currently registered with the County are automatically registered to vote in Town elections.  The Kent County Board of Election Supervisors is located at 135 Dixon Drive and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except holidays.  Forms and information regarding mail-in registration may be obtained from the Kent County Board of Election Supervisors, 410-778-0038

NOTICE OF CANDIDATES

On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the Town of Chestertown will hold an election for Mayor and Councilmembers from the 1st and 3rd Wards.  Any person desiring to have his or her name placed on the official ballot must file a Petition of Candidacy (meeting with the candidacy requirements in the Town Charter) with the Board of Supervisors of Elections for Chestertown at the Town Office, 118 N. Cross Street, Chestertown, Maryland.  Petition forms and information may be obtained in the Town Office or online at www.townofchestertown.com.  Petitions must be filed at the Town Office no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2021.
