UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
FEBRUARY 1, 2021
Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 8:52 p.m. In attendance were Council members David Foster, Thomas Herz, Ellsworth Tolliver and Meghan Efland, Bob Sipes (Utilities Manager), Bill Ingersoll (Town Manager), Kees de Mooy (Zoning Administrator), Jennifer Mulligan (Town Clerk) and guests.
Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of January 4, 2021. Mr. Herz moved to approve the minutes of January 4, 2021 as submitted, was seconded by Ms. Efland and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cerino stated that cash on hands for the Utilities Commission was $2,178,217.58 with $1,209,200.00 set aside for capital projects.
Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Rev. Tolliver moved to pay bills as submitted, was seconded by Mr. Herz and carried unanimously.
Mr. Sipes stated that the alley in the rear of Pardoe’s had to have a pipe replaced and showed as a $3,000.00 item in the bills.
Mr. Sipes stated that he had a camera put into the water tower to see what had to be done for maintenance. He said that he was waiting on results and would report back to the Council.
Mr. Sipes stated that the chemscan unit at the Wastewater Treatment Plant was being scheduled for site maintenance as it needed repairs. He said that the site visit would cost between $4,000.00 and $5,000.00 which included up to $2,000.00 in repairs.
Mr. Herz stated that the repair on Kent Street was greatly appreciated by the homeowner and asked that Mr. Sipes tell his crew how thankful they were for their services.
There being no further questions or comments, Ms. Efland moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:57 p.m., was seconded by Mr. Foster and carried unanimously.
