UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
JANUARY 2, 2018

Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 7:58 p.m. In attendance were Council members David Foster, Linda C. Kuiper, Rev. Ellsworth Tolliver and Mauritz Stetson, W. S. Ingersoll (Town Manager), Jennifer Mulligan (Town Clerk), and guests.

Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of December 4, 2017. Mr. Stetson moved to approve the minutes as presented, was seconded by Rev. Tolliver and carried unanimously.

Mayor Cerino stated that operating funds on hand is $1,033,084.61 and an additional $770,000.00 was set aside in capital funds for a total of $1,803,084.61.

Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Mr. Stetson moved to pay the bills as submitted, was seconded by Rev. Tolliver and carried unanimously.

Mr. Ingersoll stated that Mr. Sipes was busy repairing breaks in water lines brought on by the cold, noting that there were issues on Cross Street and Washington Avenue. Ms. Kuiper stated that she spoke with Mr. Sipes earlier in the day and he indicated that the SHA wanted Washington Avenue blacktopped after the lateral was fixed. Mr. Ingersoll stated that blacktopping could not be performed with anything other than cold patch since all the hot mix plants were closed before Christmas for winter.

There being no further business, Mr. Foster moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 p.m. was seconded by Ms. Kuiper and carried unanimously.
