UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
JANUARY 7, 2019
Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Council members David Foster, Linda C. Kuiper, Rev. Ellsworth Tolliver and Mauritz Stetson, W. S. Ingersoll, Town Manager, Jennifer Mulligan (Town Clerk) and guests.
Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of December 3, 2018. Mr. Stetson moved to approve the minutes of December 3, 2018 as submitted, was seconded by Rev. Tolliver and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cerino stated that operating funds on hand is $1,878,123.88 with designated capital funds set aside for capital projects at $841,200.00.
Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Mr. Stetson moved to pay bills as submitted, was seconded by Rev. Tolliver and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cerino stated that there will be a meeting with Ken Kozel and Hospital representatives on Thursday, January 10th regarding the Hospital Oil Spill. He said that he will attend along with W. S. Ingersoll, Bob Sipes and Michael Forlini, Esquire. Mr. Ingersoll stated that Mr. Forlini has been reviewing all of the quarterly testing results done by Sines (EBA Engineering, the firm doing the testing). He said that on several occasions in the past year, test results achieved by a new gel process were questioned since they were generally lower than the results from the standard, approved test procedures.
There being no further business, questions or comments Me. Stetson moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 p.m. was seconded by Mr. Foster and carried unanimously.
