UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
MAY 1, 2017
Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Council members Liz Gross, Linda C. Kuiper, Samuel T. Shoge and Mauritz Stetson, W. S. Ingersoll, Town Manager, Jennifer Mulligan, Town Clerk, and guests.
Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of April 3, 2017. Mr. Stetson moved to approve the minutes as presented, was seconded by Ms. Gross and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cerino stated that operating funds on hand is $1,025,734.21 and an additional $589,000.00 was set aside in capital funds for a total of $1,614,734.21.
Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Ms. Gross moved to pay the bills as submitted, was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.
Mr. Ingersoll stated that he was unaware of any pending issues in the Utilities Department.
Ms. Gross stated that Mr. Sipes raised a question at the last meeting about one particular day’s lab results at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. She requested an update on the question at the next Utilities Meeting.
Ms. Gross stated that she assumed Mr. Sipes was following the regular results on the monitoring of the oil spill and asked that he give an update at the next meeting. Ms. Gross stated that she wanted to make sure that all terms and conditions were being met for testing. Mr. Ingersoll stated that he would ask Mr. Sipes to give an update at the next meeting.
Mr. Shoge asked how the underground mapping of the utilities in Town was moving along.
There being no further business, Mayor Cerino closed the meeting at 7:34 p.m. was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.
