UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
APRIL 3, 2017
Mayor Cerino called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Council members Liz Gross, Linda C. Kuiper, Samuel T. Shoge and Mauritz Stetson, W. S. Ingersoll, Town Manager, Jennifer Mulligan, Town Clerk, and guests.
Mayor Cerino asked if there were any additions or corrections to the Utilities Commission meeting minutes of March 6, 2017. Mr. Stetson moved to approve the minutes as presented, was seconded by Mr. Shoge and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cerino stated that operating funds on hand is $888,755.20 and an additional $589,000.00 was set aside in capital funds for a total of $1,477,755.20.
Mayor Cerino asked for a motion to pay the bills. Ms. Gross moved to pay the bills as submitted, was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.
Mr. Sipes stated that a new pump was purchased for the pump station at Rt. 291. He said the repair cost for the same pump was almost as much as replacing it.
Mr. Sipes stated that he ordered some parts for the UV system at the Waste Water Treatment Plant used for the automatic system cleaning.
Mr. Sipes stated that paving and patching was an ongoing project in Town. Coppage Paving was performing the paving work and it would be completed shortly.
Mr. Sipes stated that he received lab results for the Waste Water Treatment Plant on March 15th that seemed questionable so the lab re-run the tests with the same results. He said that this may influence the Town’s permit standing but he thought it was fluke because the day before all tests results were low and the next day the range was ten times the normal range. He said that he was hoping the numbers would average out.
There being no further business, Ms. Gross moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 p.m. was seconded by Mr. Stetson and carried unanimously.
